A Stunning Suprise Proposal at Ironwoods Beach - Lahaina
I’m thrilled to share the story behind the stunning proposal I enjoyed capturing this week on the sunkissed cliffs at Ironwoods Beach in Lahaina. It all started two and a half years ago when friends introduced Sam and Tyler on a blind date. Tyler had returned to the University of Delaware for alumni weekend, and while chatting with a friend at the bar about his ideal partner, she mentioned she knew someone who might be perfect for him. After exchanging numbers, Sam reached out, and their first date was the beginning of something truly special.
A little about Sam: she’s an inspiring special education teacher who works with children with Autism, and she cheered at Clemson University. They love spending time at the Jersey Shore, though Sam isn’t too keen on the beach itself (the heat isn’t her favorite!), but she adores being by the bay and water. Sam and Tyler share their lives with an adorable mutt named Baci—a charming mix of husky and terrier with Snow White fur, striking blue eyes, and one playful ear that sticks up. Their free time is filled with fun hangouts with friends and family, and recently, settling into their new condo.
It’s been such a joy planning this surprise proposal with Tyler and documenting their love story. Capturing the moment they decided to take their next big step together was truly magical. Here’s to many more beautiful moments ahead for this wonderful couple!
